DSH German Higher Education Entrance Examination
Only international students already admitted to study at Humboldt-Universität are eligible to sit the DSH (ger. Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang). External candidates are admitted to the DSH only by way of exception.
The successful completion of a DSH exam is a prerequisite for registration at a German university or university of professional education.

DatesIt takes place four times a year before the start of each winter and summer semester and in coordination with the Admissions Office for International Students.
The DSH comprises a written and an oral exam, with the orals taking place about a week after the written exam. -
Fees
Exam: 150 EUR
Certificate: free of charge
Duplicates of certificate: 5 EUR each
